Canary Gold archivePirates, politics and intrigue! A rare Canarian wine comes up for sale in London. The bottle bears the initials "Th J", but is it true that it once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, President of the United States? Is this the real deal or an elaborate forgery? As the story of this dusty old bottle of Malmsey wine unfolds, we meet larger-than-life characters, from Shakespeare's Sir John Falstaff and Cervantes' Sancho Panza to swashbuckling pirates on the rampage and modern day wine experts, financiers and fraudsters. TSF and Teatro Tamaska bring their gift for physical story telling to this original devised piece which is packed full of rumbustious songs, live music and outrageous comedy. Suitable for ages 15+ and performed by an international cast in English and Spanish, with some French, and surtitles.
