Details
Voices From Home is a brand new curated evening of short plays, exclusively from writers based in and around the Home Counties. It's a platform for emerging writers to showcase their abilities and also a celebration of the Home Counties themselves, placing the spotlight on regional voices. New and emerging theatre makers work side by side to create an exhilarating evening of work based on a one word theme - all presented by a multi-award-winning theatre company. For the purposes of Voices From Home we consider the Home Counties to be: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey and Sussex. Each season also features a high-profile international or UK based headline playwright. Voices From Home is a curated festival of short plays and spoken word theatre, featuring the most exciting emerging writers from the South East. Presented by the multi-award-winning, Brighton-based Broken Silence Theatre, Voices From Home is a celebration of unheard voices and the southern counties themselves, enabling new and emerging talent to work side by side to create an exhilarating festival of new work. Our ethos is simple: We care about regional writers. We care about unheard voices. We care about the here and now.
