Mikela and Cody are grounded. Mikela can't go to a cool party with her friends, and Cody is sick of having a moody older sister - he just wants to play war games without her sticking her nose in! Mikela takes refuge in number 28, a house on the street that was once occupied by a sad old lady, Margery Allen, but has since burnt down. What they find in the blackened ruins is a secret from World War II which will change their lives forever. The Face in the Mirror, the new show for Welsh National Opera's Singing Club of 10-14 year olds, is ideal for ages 8 years and above. It is a moving introduction for older children and young people to the issues of World War II and its effect on people and communities.
