Details
A comedy about the life of Joe Orton. Joe Orton was born in Leicester in 1933 and battered to death in 1967. From December 1966 until his death, he kept a series of diaries chronicling the bizarre lifestyle of a blossoming playwright, the successes in London and failures on Broadway, his sexual escapades - at his own Mother's funeral and in Morocco - and perhaps most significantly, his 'marriage' to Kenneth Halliwell, a relationship that turned him from a 'nobody' into one of the most prominent comic playwrights of the era.
