A tale from the ancient Sumarians with surprisingly modern feel - a tale of people whose dreams were their source of knowledge. Acclaimed storyteller, Ben Haggarty, is joined by Greek percussionist and Ney player, Manya Maratou, to recreate, through dynamic and immediate improvisation, their version of the great Sumerian Epic, Gilgamesh. This 5,000 year old story raises questions that have always been contemporary, as it explores tyranny, the search for eternal life, the threat of apocalypse and the secrets of the Gods.
