An evening's exploration of Darwin, death and what happened on the Beagle, in music, film and words. A perilous journey, lasting nearly 5 years, to the other side of the world. As the voyage of HMS Beagle unfolds the lives of the young men Captain Robert Fitzroy and naturalist Charles Darwin would change irrevocably for ever. This is the first opportunity to see this Opera North production, an inventive triple-bill programme featuring the work of composer Paul Clark, librettist John Binias, designer Richard Aylwin; a new film 'Follow the Voice' by Marcus Coats and an introduction by evolutionary biologist Arjen Mulder.
