A day trip to the Natural History Museum turns to tragedy when the death of a daughter leaves one family as hollow as the old bones of the blue whale. Back at home, her parents attempt to make sense of the unimaginable in ways as unpredictable as the incident itself whilst children storm the stage around them. The Kids Are Alright is two performances on one stage: An adult narrative wading through the shrapnel of parental grief and an immersive audio experience for primary aged children full of hope for the future. The Kids Are Alright places children and adults side by side to illuminate how we all translate tragedy, navigate loss and care for one another.
