Don Juan in Kingston archiveThis specially commissioned production sees local actors, singers and dancers of all ages and experiences take over the shell of the new theatre to perform the world premiere of a show set in their own town. When Don Juan, the greatest lover of all time, is cornered by a mob of vengeful husbands in 16th century Spain, he sends up a prayer for his patron saint to rescue him. The mischievous deity transports him across time and space and dumps the Spanish nobleman and his servant in modern day Kingston! The fun really starts when Don Juan enlists the help of the neighbourhood s women to make his new tapas bar a success - he soon discovers that modern day romance works somewhat differently! Undeterred, and with a little help from the local community - including the pub next door, a Korean parade, a karaoke machine and four passing angels - he soon has the whole of Kingston singing and in love with life! Packed with favourite pop songs, action, comedy and romance this specially commissioned show has something to appeal to everyone. It s the perfect way for you to get to know your new theatre, so bring the family along!
