Work:: Mischief Festival (S0253591184)

Enjoy a double-bill of new plays in the Studio Theatre, alongside a range of events and works-in-progress. Spend a day or a weekend in Stratford-upon-Avon and immerse yourself in new voices and new thinking.

Production:: #Wearearrested/Day of the Living/More Mischief (T01884534641)

#Wearearrested - When a journalist receives a flash-drive containing critical evidence of illegal government activity, he is duty-bound to publish the story. But with the nation destabilised and divided, a sinister power is eroding the rule of law, and he soon finds himself risking everything for his profession. #WeAreArrested is the true story of a journalist's commitment to expose the truth in the face of huge personal risks. This deeply moving play is a tribute to the bravery of journalists under threat around the globe. Day of the Living - Ayotzinapa, Mexico, 2014. 43 students are forcefully disappeared. No one is brought to justice. An anarchic, musical tribute to life and the Mexican spirit with urgent, global issues at its heart. #NosFaltan43 #HastaEncontrarlos #AyotzinapaSomosTodos. More Mischief - Nell Leyshon performs her own story of how her reinvention of herself after children is halted by illness in Three Letters; Storme Toolis and Alice Knight share a work-in-progress, Redefining Juliet; and you can gain insight to the productions with a programme pre and post-show talks and events.
