Festival Fringe Shorts returns to showcase 10 never-performed plays to find a new play for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016. Entries arrived from far and wide as writers bid to have their work chosen as the fourth FFShorts play following Revolution Society by Sarah Power in 2013, The Sea Child by Carolyn Sloan and The Escapade of the Burmese Burglary, which both ran at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe. As well as being performed at the Fringe, the play will be published by Stagescripts Ltd. The shortlist of 10 plays has been picked by a panel of experts made up of novelist and critic Stephanie Merritt, playwright Mark Davies Markham, actor Eddie Webber, producer Claire Evans, Stagescripts director David Waters along with Lucy Betts and Nick White from Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre. Excerpts will be performed by members of Act One, the Youth Theatre's senior group.
