The Norman Conquests - Round and Round the Garden

Work:: The Norman Conquests (S01768078095)

The action of each play takes place simultaneously and follows the same six characters in the same English country house from Saturday evening to Monday morning. Believing it his mission in life to make women happy by showering them with love, Norman makes the most of every opportunity to seduce his sister-in-law Annie, charm his brother-in-law's wife Sarah and woo his wife Ruth during a disastrous weekend of squabbling, eating, drinking and fondling.
Author Alan Ayckbourn

Production:: Round and Round the Garden (T1901291709)

In Round and Round the Garden we discover what went on outside during the disastrously eventful week-end at the home of Annie and her invalid mother. Amorous assistant librarian Norman persists in the belief that at least one of the women will fall victim to his charms in spite of the presence of their husbands and other potential lovers. This continues to cause havoc among the rest of the guests with some unforeseen consequences. Confusion reigns supreme as relationships come under scrutiny, human frailties are exposed and truths come to light in this highly entertaining mix of comedy, drama and farce.
