Details

'Lou' tells the story of the encounter between writer and philosopher Lou Andreas-Salome (the muse of Nietzsche and Rainer Maria Rilke) and Sigmund Freud, which takes place in Vienna in 1912 as the remarkable Lou schemes to make a decisive intervention in the evolving theory of female sexuality - a move complicated by her own free-ranging and renowned sexual potency. Stephen Davis has written three plays for The Bush Theatre, many radio and television plays, serials and feature films, including 'Ruby' based on his stage play 'Love Fields'.
