Puppets hunting passion ... the hard way! Stickyback return after a sell out run at the Camden Fringe with another slice of "beguilingly bizarre" (The Stage) puppet orientated sketch fun. A furry look at that old malady called love through a puppet's perspective. "The funniest piece of shadow puppetry I've seen in a long time!" (Broadway Baby ****) Stickyback Theatre is a theatre company focusing on exploration, aiming to find original forms within their puppetry based theatre practice. Combining a wicked sense of humour and an imaginative approach, Stickyback want to create theatre that takes on its own mind, that trusts in the personal narratives of the characters we create and never gives up on imagination and play we believe it's beautiful to be different, that you needn't view the world through rosytinted spectacles and that nothing is impossible. Stickyback Theatre shows are wholly original, combining new scripts, shadow and handmade puppets (from the carefully constructed to the wilfully thrown together) and a childish sense of wonder and enthusiasm. Our work is often comic and rarely restrained.
