Vermilion Dream archiveVermilion Dream is a play about madness, failure, Art and success. Miriam is a talented artist and tortured soul. Obsessed by the power and passion of the works of the great masters of the Renaissance, Titian and Durer, she puts mind, body and soul into creating something of equal beauty and significance. Yet every painting she produces falls short of her own unreachable aspirations and serves only to reinforce her belief that her dream can never be realised. How does pigment smeared on wood have the power to inspire and move us? Can Art spiritually enhance and by the same means, harm and destroy? This play blows open one of the greatest debates of all time and promises to leave you thinking long after you have left the theatre.
