Coventry. 1979. A city of strife in the factories and violence on the streets. It's hard being 16 - but something's stirring in the garages and living rooms of the city. Music offers a way out for spiky Gary - a fish out of water on the Canley Park estate - posh boy Nick and cheeky Sonya, whose Asian parents think she's doing after-school drama... Tension is building between Gary and his brother and father - both track workers at the car plant.
