Details

The Typographer's Dream archiveExamines the details that define our lives. The three characters are the heart of the play - the first, Dave, is a stenographer. He transcribes hearings at the speed of speech. The transcriptions are infallible, but Dave has problems. His friend Annalise is a geographer. She studies the arbitrary lines that define the world, but seeing problems doesn't make her any better at solving them. Finally there's Margaret, the typographer. Employed to change the truth with a typeface, Margaret finds she can only tell someone else's truth, never her own.

It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
