The Trickster archiveAll is well in the comfortable world of the merchant princes of an Irish town. But when the fathers go away on business, and Cupid comes calling on their sons, everything goes hilariously askew. The tale of secret loves, mistaken identities and angry fathers, The Trickster tells the story of how the clever scoundrel of a servant Scapin, a man with a very definite personal agenda, sorts out problems of the heart while settling a few scores of his own. In this hilarious adaptation by Harriet O'Carroll, the screenwriter of the BBC series Aristocrats, the action moves from France to Ireland of the 1700s.
