T01540227654A work in progress. The Moon The Moon is the story of a man who falls into grief after the suicide of his wife. Selling everything he owns and making himself homeless, he slips off the edge of the reality he used to live in losing contact with everyone who knew and loved him. But it's difficult to go through the world entirely unnoticed. He's not alone, he's being watched - a couple invite him to come for a drink. And then to stay. If he wants. They have a very comfortable house. He can stay as long as he likes. And so the man finds himself trapped in a cellar being cared for by people claiming to be a doctor and a nurse. The Doctor wants to talk, to help him become sane again. The Nurse would like to look inside his body, to fix the part of him that is broken. And The Moon (who looks remarkably like his dead wife) is talking to him - she says that she still loves him. Slipping between realities, The Man doesn't know if he's actually being looked after or has been kidnapped. In either instance he must choose whether to be healed by the Doctor and live or to go with The Moon and love.Company Unlimited Theatre. Director Erica Whyman. | |
