The Lost Letters of Cathy G/My Son's Not Rainman archiveThe Lost Letters of Cathy G - mixes stand up and storytelling in which comedian Paul Harry Allen tells a tale of a junk shop find and his quest to know more. Whilst in a junk shop, looking for photographs of families he's never met, comedian Paul Harry Allen stumbled across a wad of forgotten letters. Dating from 1963-69, they give a fantastic insight into how 60s teenagers got their kicks, from miserable French exchange visits to screaming at a Monkees concert. Having managed to find some of these hopeful groupies and first loves, with a mixture of stand-up and storytelling, Paul will share his quest to find out what happened after the letters stopped. My Son's Not Rainman - is a comic and ultimately moving show based on the true story of a single dad and his autistic son. Comedian John Williams uses his blunt, no-nonsense style to challenge perceptions of autism. His son isn't a genius. He never will be. He has also never drawn St Paul's Cathedral. He might just be the funniest boy around though. Honest and straight-talking, John lifts the lid on life with a special needs child, and discovers there is joy in everything. From the delight and wonder of the Special School Disco to the unadulterated thrill of getting the front seat on the top deck of the bus, ultimately it's just a celebration of what it truly means to be different.
