The Knocky archivePitched somewhere between John Godber and Carla Lane, 'The Knocky' combines wicked humour with poignant exploration of working-class spirit. Wynne had just graduated when this, his first play, was featured in the Royal Court 1994 Young Writer's Festival. When the Kelly family's preparations for Gran's 70th birthday are cut short by a burglary, we witness the indomitable Scouse wit and cruel ironies of life on a grim Birkenhead housing estate.
