Take Me to the River archiveTake Me to the River is a play for anyone who has lived, loved or played in or on The Wey. The play has grown out of the Heritage Lottery Supported 'WeyWe Were' project. Based on the including local older people's memories of the river, the play develops an imaginary narrative around Grace, a life-long Surrey resident. Feverish and confused with the shingles which should keep her in her bed, Grace shimmies down the drainpipe and runs to the river she loves as she did when she was a girl, in search of adventure.
