Subtitles/Titrai archiveSubtitles is a modern day tale about our multi-lingual world, the agony and pleasure of the cosmopolitan reality and the price we pay trying to discover ourselves. Jacob, an up-and-coming writer in London, thinks of himself as an Englishman and is about to publish his second book. In the age of PR and thriving consumerism, the publisher asks him to choose aspects of his personal life for a promotional campaign. It does not take long for Jacob to ?remember his real name and origin, his mother-tongue which still haunts him at night and that strangling sense of alienation. Only now Jacob must reveal all to the public, or reject the opportunity to establish himself as a writer...
