Details

Stuntman archiveStuntman is a new performance about movie violence and masculinity. It is an intensely physical, funny, and tender duet by two men who wrestle with their relationship to violence - both onscreen and off. Stories of real-life experiences of violence are interwoven with exaggerated, high-octane stunt fights, movement, and (fake) blood. We are terrified of violence and fascinated by it. We want to protect those we love from harm and we want to be safe but we also sometimes just want to go out in a hail of bullets. We want to pick at the scars of glamorous and brutal acts of movie violence and how it affects us and the way we act as men.
