An urgent new play that propels its' audience into the world of train (graffiti) writing told via two, lonely marginalised teenagers, who graffiti grants a voice to. Fusing stylised choreograph, an electronic percussion score, bold illumination and scenic visualisation, all fluidly woven through the text; Barefaced will once again break with theatrical convention and exploit an adrenaline-inducing performance. Set in the early 2000's, against an ever-changing political landscape, this play examines the displacement of two individuals: Mute (Born n' bred Newham) and Nexstar (Civil War Refugee). Both individuals find an escape from their troubled and isolated lives in the night-time cityscape playground of train yards and tube depots. Two people from very different worlds finding a common language, who learn to trust in humanity again.
