Details
In an uproarious and biting comedy, Suhayla El-Bushra takes Nikolai Erdman's satirical 1928 masterpiece and skewers contemporary Britain. Sam is without a job and has lost his benefits. Trapped in a tiny flat with his girlfriend Maya and her Mother, he feels like ending it all. Before long, everyone wants a piece of his tragedy: politicians, locals, rappers, TV documentary makers. The collision of their stories turns drama into farce.
