Romeo and Juliet: The Nurse's Story archiveRSC actress' novel approach to the tragic love story. In this startling piece, the Nurse tells the story of Romeo and Juliet, from her point of view, perhaps for the first time. Sue explores the Nurse's character with her enormous capacity for love, underpinned by her native cunning and driven by her instinct for survival. Sue is preoccupied by how little, but paradoxically how much we know about the Nurse - a crucial character whom Shakespeare abandons after Juliet is found 'dead'.
