Punching Jane archiveSet in the seedy backstreets of 18th Century London, Punching Jane, follows the fate of a group of prostitutes who, as the time dictated in working class Britain, settle their angst ridden scores and disagreements by an after-hour bare knuckle boxing match. Punching Jane is a highly physical stage production which takes place late at night, in a boxing ring on the ground floor of the Stables brothel. Jane, new to the brothel but a lifer in the oldest profession in the world, changes the rules setting in motion a series of events that leads to murder, heartbreak and betrayal.
