Punch and Judy Episode 2: Attack of the Clowns archive'I figured it would be fun for a couple of 'professors' to let Mr Punch out of his children's entertainer ghetto and see what havoc he might create today for the benefit of an adult audience. I'd worked with Ken many years ago and figured his brain held clues as to what might happen if we turned Punch loose.' So Punch Professor, and old friend of MAC, Glyn Edwards introduced two of British theatre's primary anarchists, Mr Punch and Ken Campbell, and stood back. The result is a Punch and Judy show that flies into the 21st century, piloted by a pair of world travelled 'professors', navigated by a ventriloquist's dummy and fuelled by centuries of myth and mayhem. With occasional byways suggested by the decadent Victorian author, alcoholic and opium addict Eric, Count Stenbock, this latest episode in Punch and Judy's living tradition lives on to be - once more - not suitable for children!
