In this ingeniously funny farce, everyone is trying to get their hands on Mr Hewlett's fortune. His housekeeper marries him on his deathbed, but his estranged grand-daughter Joan and her fiancee assume it is rightfully theirs. Perhaps society crook Freddy Malone, assisted by Joan's fiancee D'Arcy Tuck, has the only viable solution.
