Plaid Tidings archiveWhen an up-and-coming men's harmony group, The Plaids are killed on the eve of their biggest performance, after a collision with a school bus containing kids heading to see The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show - the kids survive... The Plaids sadly do not! To their surprise they are sent back to the earth to give a concert, to test their worthiness to be the eternal guardians of harmony! Having successfully completed this extraordinary challenge, the Plaids are granted tenure in the Celestial Cosmos - or so they believe...However on a cold and wintery December night, through a rip in the Earth's Ozone The Plaids are sent back to Earth for a second time - the reason why, none of them understand! Through a series of clues and an uncanny capacity to keep referring to the Christmas season, they realise their reason for returning is to bring festive cheer to an uncertain World - by performing the ultimate TV Christmas Special - An evening filled with beautifully harmonised Yuletide songs and tales of Christmases past, a show they endlessly talked about but never were able to achieve whilst alive! Only if this is accomplished can our Plaids discover the real reason for their return and finally find peace.
