Pea Green Boat archiveAn owl wakes up at sea in a pea green boat. It is accompanied by a cat, its natural predator. There is some honey. What caused this dangerous situation? Is it a strange Naval experiment? Is it a meaningless exercise in poetic whimsy? Or is the Owl's condition a metaphor for writer Edward Lear's repressed sexuality, pursued to its logical conclusion irrespective of the suffering of the confused bird? The Owl's Diary reveals the truth of the elegant fowl's maritime privations. Meanwhile, the journal of a mental patient, found on top of a bin in Holloway, contains few references to birds or boats. The show is quite rude in places and is not aimed at children.
