Patio/Porch archive"I know you have dreams. Wild ideas put there by your newspapers and magazines about what's going on in the world. But this is the best place to be Lucy... out here on this porch." It's mid-summer in small town Texas on a porch in 1956, and a patio in 1984. We follow the afternoon of four women full of Southern charm and character. However, underneath their animated chatter we discover lives are perhaps as empty as the dry Texas landscape which engulfs them. Land-locked, house-bound, hopeful, can these women really escape the lives they feel bound to live? Accompanying the chorus of cicadas is a beautiful soundtrack of live music from female vocalists Long Stride Lizzy.
