On A Day in Summer in a Garden archiveThe dock weeds don't think much of humans with their spray cans and their cows, but are convinced they will eventually die out anyway. Then there will be a new golden age for docks. In the meantime, docks will just have to get their roots as far down as they can and bide their time. And everyone with a garden knows just how far down their roots go. In the last couple of decades it has become clear that humans really are making a horrible mess of the planet. But are the docks right? You'll never look at a dock week in the same way again.
