Off Camera archiveJamaica, a perfect paradise for two London girls on holiday and on a mission. Babs wants to know if her romance with Passion, the guy she met last year, is for keeps, but hasn't reckoned on his babymother, Sandra. Anisha is there for very different reasons, but she isn't saying what they are - yet. Meantime she's fixed up on a blind date with Ras Simi, a Rastafarian with a super-chilled attitude. Are the men just out to get a cheap trip over to Britain, and are the girls just out looking for the 'exotic' Caribbean dream? Marcia Layne's play uses a rich mixture of British urban dialogue and Jamaican Patois, vividly creating the rows, raves and revelations of her characters as they struggle to make sense of the whole love thing.
