Joseph has a pawn shop on the edge of a city. The goods and money exchanges of the desperate have been his life for as long as he can remember. Therese, a young woman getting old fast, has nothing but has an idea that could restart her life. Wull, forty and Karaoke King, wants something too. A plan is hatched that will solve everything. From the moment Therese enters Joseph's shop with her only possessions of value three lives begin a breakneck journey that takes them somewhere they'd never imagined possible. It's a corner of the city emporium where goodness and disaster are playing cards. Who will win? Come and laugh darkly and be afraid for them.
