Karry Owky archiveKarry Owky is an evening of bawdy comedy, though as the piece progresses and the characters collide in their grotesque and vile manner, the comedy gradually bleeds out, leaving a tragic finale. Once upon a time, we lived in huts in small communities. In the evenings we would gather round a fire, and sing songs to each other. What was important was not that you could sing, but that you could share something. The community spirit or so goes the Myth. A blisteringly funny portrayal of yobbish attitudes, pub culture and what happens when those attitudes are challenged. Contains strong language.
