Sinking under the weight of caring for Rosie, their daughter with Down's Syndrome, Marion and Ted walk out of her life and into the sea. Marion alone survives and is left floundering as she tries to pick up the pieces of life with Rosie, who in turn must deal with feelings of insecurity and rejection.
