Part of the Bristol Shakespeare Festival 2016, Impromptu Shakespeare create an entirely new and unique Shakespeare play on the spot, inspired by audience suggestion. Bursting with love, poetry, comedy, tragedy, soliloquies, power struggles, mistaken identity and the supernatural - it's everything you would expect from Shakespeare himself. Impromptu Shakespeare have their tongues firmly in their cheeks and their feet planted in the works of the Bard. The show delights experts and novices alike, so whether you know all 37 plays - or none - join us for 50 minutes of riotous fun. Impromptu Shakespeare strive to bring the Bard to life. Featuring a cast of leading theatrical and comedic improvisers, they've performed two critically-acclaimed runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and were featured on BBC radio's The Art of Improv. Other appearances include: the Oxford Comedy Festival, the Gulbenkian Theatre Canterbury, ImproFest London, Bristol Improv Festival and the Edric Theatre in London.
