Details
From two authors, one French and one British, two tragic comedies about the human condition. Both weave together the bitter-sweet stories of individuals who find themselves where they never expected to be.
Home brings together four characters who form an unlikely quartet. Harry, gentlemanly, dignified but unworldly, Jack, dapper, fond of the ladies and of card tricks, Kathleen, with a laugh for everything and Majorie, vulgar but unerringly direct.
L'Orchestre (The Orchestra) is set in post-world war France. An almost all female orchestra engaged to entertain the customers at a provincial Spa town hotel struggle to convince themselves, and us, that their key-notes are 'style, posture and elegance'.
