Hermiston archiveHermiston is the story of a tumultuous relationship between a father and son, a story of justice, passion, intrigue and murder. While revolution burns in France, a tyrannical hanging judge, Lord Hermiston, confronts his liberal son Archie in a small Borders town, under the watchful eye of their housekeeper, Kirstie. Hermiston sees himself as standing for Scotland and a glorious past. His son sees himself as standing for internationalism and a bright new future. But are they as different as they seem? Adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic unfinished masterpiece, Weir of Hermiston.
