Gringos archiveAfter eight weeks climbing mountains, hacking through jungle and fending off dysentery, an ill-matched rabble of travellers wind up in Quito on the last night of a South American tour. With their guide embarking on his own private journey into oblivion, his charges fasten their ponchos and prepare to grope the underbelly of a city without rules. But the harder they to lose themselves, the closer they come to the reality they left behind. Based on a real-life adventure, Gringos is a black comedy of cross-cultural confusion, casual sex and departure lounge mayhem.
