Fool's Day archivePeter Donaldson is an old hack, who has been dumped in a flat in a tower block, and has no idea how life works in this alien world. Fortunately the young woman from the flat next door, seems to have adopted Peter. He also corresponds by e-mail with a successful friend from his childhood days, now retired in Sweden, mischievously creating for himself the fantasy of living in similarly luxurious style in South Shields. This is a sad, quirky comedy about old age, and the relentless changes that happen to us all in our lifetimes, taking away all we knew, as the frightening new world advances upon us.
