T053071781Don't Look Back is closely linked to its surroundings. The piece is not only about a journey to the Underworld, but also about the building in which the journey takes place. The project is re-designed for different sites that have their own stories, echoes and architectural features, affecting the form and content of the work. It ahs to be completely re-structured and re-created afresh according to the demands, resources and physical layout of each individual space. Some of the film sequences are also re-made at each locality. Previously, the piece has been performed at Stanmer House, a derelict Georgian manor in Brighton, The State Cinema, a disused Art Deco picture house on the Thames estuary, South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, the Hazlitt Corn Exchange in Maidstone and Somerset House in London.Company Dreamthinkspeak. | |
