Diwrnod Dwynwen archiveThe day is 25th January, the place could be any seaside community in Wales. You might even recognise it as your own home town. With the sea threatening to freeze over, its inhabitants are firmly in the grip of Winter's chilly grasp, with the summer sun and its promise of a gaggle of tourists seeming a very distant prospect indeed. As the last few festive stragglers board the ferry and wave goodbye, take a journey through the town in a series of interwoven plays in the form of a cywaith. Written by some of Wales' most exciting new writers, Diwrnod Dwynwen provides a voice for the new generation and, in the tradition of a cywaith, does so by gently marrying old and new.
