(Di)SECT archive'The ancients looked to their stars for their answers - but what answers are to be found in a star which points in three directions at once?' At an archaeological dig 2000 years from now, a young archaeologist unearths an artefact from the late 20th century which seems to shed light on the dominant religion of the time. However, an horrific holocaust-like event has reduced her world to a geographical and technological desert. Making sense of the artefact in this hostile environment, without access to the ancients' spiderless web, is almost impossible. Understanding the significance of the artefact is nowhere near as difficult a task as unravelling the conundrum of the archaeologist's own life. The arrival of a charismatic stranger at the dig brings the distraction of affection - with all its attendant dangers - to her loveless life. The ensuing series of events, however, unravel the mystery of the three-pointed star and in so doing illuminate both her past and our present
