The hostilities of the Great War may be over, but the ripples are still felt deeply across the city. Harry and Frank, two of 'Dundee's Own' the 4th Battalion The Black Watch, have returned home from the trenches of battle scarred France to a city different to the one they left. One man branded a coward for having left some of his brothers in arms in No-Man's Land. To wives they seem to have forgotten how to love; to memories and revelations spanning back a generation to the death of one's father; to the prospect of being more 'kettle-boilers'. Too guilty to celebrate the role they played in the war. A tale of treachery, cowardice, bravery, betrayal, loyalty, love and hope.
