Details
An evening of three one-act plays prepared especially for the group. 'Harlequinade' features one of the oldest forms of theatre - the 'Commedia dell'arte', and tells the story of Harlequin's love for Columbine. 'For Heaven's Sake' is an imaginative comedy that starts from a road accident. We follow Kevin and his strange journey to who-knows-where! Finally, 'The Grey Angel' takes in the squalor of Newgate Prison and tells the moving story of how Elizabeth Fry worked to better the lives of inmates Ben Morris and a group of young Harlequin Players wrote 'For Heaven's Sake' in 1992, when they were 16 years old. The play has been produced on two occasions in small venues, but this is its first full pubic performance.
