Cherry Picnic archiveGeorge and H have been summoned. Why? Is it to accept a proposition that could change their lives forever? What exactly does the sinister Fisher have in mind? Sadie has taught Sean the power of positive thinking. Now they are escaping. Where to? Is this the realisation of their wildest dreams? What will the mysterious Maestro help them achieve? But Fisher is bereaved and in pain. Does he still possess the power to make them an offer they won't understand? As a night of surreal, violent farce unfolds, they all start to realise just what is needed to set themselves free. Set on a near-derelict housing estate, among a milieu of losers, thieves and wasters, Cherry Picnic is a high-octane, sadistic, very black comedy, examining themes of grief, ambition, status, poverty and the fundamental desire to improve one's self and one's life.
