Caught archiveIn 1609, whilst on the run for killing a man, Caravaggio paints a glorious Nativity. In 1969, the mafia steal it. From these raw facts, Theatre Alibi concoct an outrageous fiction. Two dark, violent lives, centuries apart, are connected and briefly illuminated by the power of a painting. Part love story, part thriller, part dark farce, Caught combines inventive performance with live music and a visual richness inspired by Caravaggio, the master of light and dark. Contains strong language.
