Lucette Gautier is a celebrated music hall star with a weakness for good-looking young men, one of whom, Fernand Bois d'Enghien, is well established as her favourite lover. However, Lucette attracts a throng of varied and obsessive admirers, each passionately determined to win her love or artistic patronage.
